Therapy for Moms in Chicago and Across IL, MI, SC, FL, & TN

Discover how to silence the chaos in your mind and reclaim your peace as a mom

As a mom, I understand the gut-wrenching, sickening feeling you get in your stomach when life keeps hitting you with stressors over and over again.

Often we go through one struggle only to have it lead into the next. It’s like one step forward, two steps back.

You go to sleep at night feeling on edge, your thoughts racing through all the things you did wrong that day or didn’t get done.

You recognize that your stress and constant irritability are damaging your relationships with your husband and kids, yet you don’t know how to STOP it.

You want to stop spinning in circles of overwhelm and chaos, but it just keeps getting worse.

I see you, Mama.

Hi, I’m Amy and I’m so glad you are here!

Mom Therapy Chicago

I will help you find solutions and immediate relief from anxiety so that you can start feeling better as quickly as possible!

As a mom of four, I know the toll that parenting can take on your relationships.

I also know how it feels to not know if you are going to make it through the day.

When we work together, you won't just get a trained therapist. You will get another mom who truly understands what you are going through.

As one of the few licensed therapists who are also certified in clinical anxiety and perinatal mental health, I am confident I can help you regain peace in your life!

Frequently asked questions about therapy for moms:

  • I’m located in the Chicago suburbs, but provide online therapy throughout Illinois, Michigan, South Carolina, Florida, & Tennessee.

  • I do not offer in-person therapy sessions. All sessions are online via Zoom.

  • Definitely! I come to you, in your space, at a time that is convenient for you. Meeting online takes away the stress of driving to an office and finding childcare out of the equation.

If you need to put a little one down for a nap or take a break to change a diaper, that’s no problem at all. I know that childcare can be hard to arrange and want support to be as convenient as possible.

  • The free 15-minute consultation is a time for both of us to see if we are a good fit. It is a time for you to ask any specific questions you have for me and I’ll make sure that you are getting help from the right place.

    How it works:

Send me a message on my contact page and I will get back to you via text or phone call within 24 hours to schedule a free phone consultation.

I will call you at the time we have scheduled. If we both decide that we are a good fit, we will schedule our first session from there.

  • If you are interested in Christian counseling, here are some ways faith can be integrated into sessions:

-Focusing on God’s grace and His purpose for you

-Exploring Bible verses relevant to your current situation or struggles.

-Examining what the Bible says about certain behaviors or habits.

-Evaluating your thoughts and aligning them with Biblical truths.

-Setting boundaries in a biblical way

-Developing strategies to have a deeper connection with God.

-Ways to model healthy, Christ-like coping strategies for your children

-Creating a strong spiritual connection with your husband.

More about my faith and church involvement:

I attend a large, non-denominational Christian church in the Chicago suburbs.

My husband and I have been involved in ministry for many years in different capacities, including my husband being a pastor.

I am currently involved in several small groups and a leader for our children’s ministry.

I welcome any additional questions you may have.

  • Not at all. While my personal faith informs my counseling approach, I work with clients from all religious and non-religious backgrounds.

I also work with Christian moms who do not want to integrate faith into sessions and that is totally fine too.
